Magenta a Post-Apocalypse Adventure(2021)

Synopsis
In a post-apocalyptic world where anything goes, our hero Magenta is set to hunt down a gang and steal a golden briefcase, but will she find what she was looking for?

This short was inspired after finishing a Mad Max videogame. This is my first mixing 2d and 3d elements in addition to sound design and a few rendering techniques.

I wrote a script in August, started production around Thanksgiving and was able to wrap up all the animations in a month. Some things are still rough around the edges, but there was more thought put into framing, color usage and storytelling than ever before.

Synopsis
After becoming the Sky Pirate Captain, our hero finds himself in a quest for a mysterious diamond on a floating island, however he fails to realize it’s been guarded by CYBORG NINJAS!!!

Working on this short film was really fun. Although the idea and storyboards were envisioned back in 2009 it took a global pandemic and lockdown boredom in December of 2020 for me to finally get around doing this. I have learned a lot of cinematography since I first made the storyboard, so the framing and overall storytelling is a bit clunky, but glad this thing is out of my head.

(2008)

Synopsis
Working as a janitor on a cargo flying ship, our hero discovers his ship has been hijacked by a crew of Skypirates!!! With his master abilities (and some luck) he tries to escape his demise.

This was my sophomore final at the Kansas City Art Institute. I came up with the idea in my first semester there and somehow was able to pull it off in 4 months.
